San Diego Home/Garden Lifestyles is a monthly magazine true to its title. With words and images, we paint an accurate picture of San Diegans’ homes, lives and interests. Our writing style is friendly and conscientious, while offering great ideas and timely reports on fine architecture and interior design, gardening, food and wine, art, entertainment, local events and a fine-dining guide. We are considered the authority in the county on architecture, interior design, gardens and gardening.

The longest-running regional shelter magazine in the nation, San Diego Home/Garden Lifestyles also publishes three annual publications — Homeowners’ Resource Guide, Interior Design Guide and Outdoor Living Guide. Owned by San Diego-based McKinnon Publishing Company, SDH/GL and its annual publications win dozens of local, regional and national awards annually. Since 1998, we have won more than 150 awards from two local journalism contests alone.

In addition to winning awards, we also give awards in our four annual design competitions. In 2008, we will be accepting entries for our 30th annual Homes of the Year, the 18th annual Kitchens of the Year, the 14th annual Gardens of the Year and the 10th annual Baths of the Year.

We also have a long history of helping worthy causes in San Diego County through partnerships that help them raise both funds and visibility.
