The Kyoto Prize

Six Kyoto Scholarship recipients, reflecting advanced technology, basic sciences, and arts and philosophy categories, were honored at the Kyoto Prize: Celebrating Outstanding Human Achievement. Also in attendance at the black-tie gala were Dr. Isamu Akasaki, Drs. Peter and Rosemary Grant and Maestro Pierre Boulez, the latest Kyoto Prize laureates. The benefit assists in funding the Kyoto Scholarships, which are available to San Diego and Tijuana-area high school students.
